Evicted Cyber-Criminals Blocked from Building New Empire

Vietnamese police dismantled a transnational criminal syndicate attempting to build a major, long-term online scam center in the country. Fleeing intense law enforcement crackdowns in Cambodia, the group—consisting of a Chinese national and local accomplices—rented remote luxury resorts, villas, and farmstays to hide dozens of workers. Raids seized 73 desktop computers, 134 mobile phones, and vast network equipment just days before the illicit operation went live.
