Alibaba Group unveiled the Zhenwu M890 AI chip at its 2026 Cloud Summit, aiming to reduce reliance on Nvidia amid U.S. export restrictions. Built for agentic AI workloads, the chip offers 144GB memory and triple the performance of its predecessor. Alibaba also launched a 128-chip server system, the Qwen3.7-Max AI model, and pledged $53 billion for cloud infrastructure through 2028.
