A WeChat article by Yuyuan Tantian, linked to CCTV, warns that Nvidia's H20 AI chips—developed for the Chinese market—pose security risks, potentially featuring hardware “backdoors” enabling remote shutdown. It further criticizes the chips as neither technologically advanced nor environmentally friendly, urging consumers to avoid them. This follows a July 31 probe by China’s internet regulator, although Nvidia maintains its chips contain no backdoors.
