According to Rockwell Automation’s latest State of Smart Manufacturing Report, smart manufacturing is on the rise—56% of manufacturers are piloting AI projects and 20% have scaled them. With challenges like cybersecurity threats, market competition, and skill shortages mounting, companies are integrating automation, AI, and secure edge-to-cloud systems to boost resilience. About 50% plan to use AI for quality control, 49% for cybersecurity, and 41% to address workforce gaps.
