Sweden’s Wallenberg-Led Consortium Launches Sferical AI, Nation’s Boldest Enterprise AI Venture

A consortium spearheaded by Wallenberg Investments—inclusive of AstraZeneca, Ericsson, Saab, and SEB—has launched Sferical AI, revealing Sweden’s first national-scale AI supercomputing venture. Headed by CEO Jenny Nordlöw, the company will operate a sovereign AI supercomputer based on NVIDIA’s DGX SuperPOD technology, providing secure, high-power infrastructure to elevate industrial AI capabilities. Complementing this, an NVIDIA AI Technology Center in Linköping will focus on skills development.
