The Compute Crunch: Google Caps Meta’s Gemini Access as AI Demand Breaks the Cloud

In a striking sign of industry-wide infrastructure bottlenecks, Google has capped Meta’s access to its Gemini AI models. Google informed Meta it simply lacks the computing capacity to fulfill its massive purchase requests, disrupting and delaying several of Meta's internal safety and advertising projects. The crunch is so severe that Meta has ordered staff to strictly ration their daily AI token usage.
