UAE President Meets OpenAI CEO to Boost AI Research & Infrastructure Collaboration

UAE President Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, in Abu Dhabi to discuss enhanced cooperation in artificial intelligence research and real-world applications. The talks align with the UAE’s broad ambition to build a robust, integrated AI ecosystem and transition toward a knowledge-based economy. Altman was also awarded an honorary doctorate by the Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence.
