Andrew Feldman, CEO of AI chip maker Cerebras Systems, has blamed infrastructure builders and operators for the rising American backlash against data centers. Following his company’s massive $5.55 billion US IPO, Feldman criticized operators for aggressively pushing projects forward without considering community impact. His comments follow a Gallup survey revealing that 71% of Americans oppose local AI data center construction over heavy water, electricity, and resource consumption.
