Byju's Crisis: NCLT Notice on Aakash Rights Issue Funds

The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) issued a notice to Byju's Resolution Professional (RP) regarding a plea from subsidiary Aakash Educational Services. Aakash is seeking regulatory clarity, particularly from the RBI, on the legality of the ₹25 crore Byju's parent company, Think & Learn, remitted to subscribe to its rights issue. Aakash withheld the share allotment due to concerns over compliance with FEMA and other guidelines.
