Byju's Founder to Appeal $1 Billion US Court Order Amid Fund Dispute
Byju Raveendran, founder of ed-tech giant Byju's, will appeal a US court's default judgment ordering him to personally pay over $1.07 billion. The Delaware court held him liable for allegedly moving funds from Byju's US unit and cited his repeated non-compliance with court orders. Raveendran denies wrongdoing, claiming the court erred by denying him a defense.
