E-commerce Platforms See 32–35% Surge in Sales Amid GST Cuts

India's e-commerce giants, Amazon India and Flipkart, have reported a 32–35% increase in sales during the first two days of their festive season sales, compared to the previous year. This uptick is attributed to the recent Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate cuts effective from September 22, 2025. Popular categories include smartphones, televisions, appliances, mattresses, beauty products, and fashion items.
