Indian IT Firms Shift Strategy: Muted Hiring, but 3–5% Uptick in Skilled Freshers

Indian software services companies are adopting a cautious hiring approach in H2 2025, especially on mid- and senior-level roles. Instead, they are increasing recruitment of skill-driven freshers—particularly in AI, cloud, and platform areas—projecting a 3–5% rise in entry-level hiring compared to H1. This selective strategy aims to optimize costs while building a future-ready workforce capable of executing specialized projects.
