Intel's Leap Forward

Intel has kicked off early "risk production" for its advanced 18A-P chip manufacturing process. As a high-performance upgrade to the base 18A node, it boasts a 9% performance boost or an 18% reduction in power consumption, alongside 20% to 40% better thermal resistance. Crucially, the process is fully backward-compatible, enabling chip designers to upgrade without costly, time-consuming redesigns.
