Meta Poaches Safe Superintelligence CEO Daniel Gross to Strengthen Superintelligence AI Lab

Meta has hired Daniel Gross, former CEO and co‑founder of Safe Superintelligence, to join its newly formed Meta Superintelligence Labs under Alexandr Wang. This move follows an unsuccessful $32 billion acquisition bid for Gross's startup and includes Meta taking a stake in his VC firm, NFDG. Gross will focus on AI product development alongside Nat Friedman. Ilya Sutskever has returned to lead Safe Superintelligence after Gross's departure.
