ONDC Mulls ₹100–150 Cr Subsidy Revival to Boost Slumping Food Delivery

India’s Open Network for Digital Commerce (ONDC) is considering reintroducing ₹100–150 crore in subsidies for food delivery partners like Magicpin, Paytm, Ola Consumer, and Waayu. The incentives aim to reverse a slowdown that has seen food orders dip—even as delivery giants Zomato and Swiggy dominate. If approved, the scheme could generate 80–100 million extra orders, but long-term growth hinges on resolving logistics and last-mile delivery challenges.
