PayPal and Mastercard See Massive Gains Post-Pine Labs IPO

Global payment majors PayPal and Mastercard realized substantial paper profits from their early investments in the Indian fintech firm, Pine Labs, following its Initial Public Offering. PayPal's investment value saw nearly a seven-fold multiplication, while Mastercard's holding doubled in value. Although both firms sold only a small portion of their stake in the IPO, the successful listing validated their bet on the growing digital payments ecosystem in India.
