Playing the Long Game: Urban Company Prioritizes Scale Over Quick Cash

Urban Company reported a ₹161 crore consolidated loss in Q4 FY26, heavily driven by its 10-minute quick housekeeping service, InstaHelp. Despite an adjusted EBITDA loss of ₹119 crore for the arm, order volumes surged 66% sequentially to 2.7 million. Backed by ₹2,021 crore in cash, the company states it will intentionally keep spending elevated to cement market leadership before targeting profitability by late 2027.
