The Qatar Investment Authority (QIA) has filed a petition in the Karnataka High Court to enforce a $235 million Singapore arbitration award against Byju Raveendran and Byju’s Investments Pte Ltd (BIPL). The claim includes $14 million in accrued interest (compounded daily at 4%) since February 2024. Qatar alleges Raveendran breached loan terms by transferring pledged Aakash shares and seeks court authority to freeze, attach, or sell his and BIPL’s Indian assets.
