Samsung Commits $310 Billion for AI and Chip Expansion

Samsung Group announced a massive $310 billion, five-year investment plan, primarily focused on AI technology and boosting its semiconductor business. The investment package includes building a new semiconductor facility, Pyeongtaek Plant 5, to meet the surging demand for memory chips essential for the global AI boom. The plan also covers expansion into next-generation EV batteries and new AI data centers.
