Signal Introduces First Paid Feature: Encrypted Cloud Backups for $1.99/Month

Signal has launched its first paid feature, offering end-to-end encrypted cloud backups for media and message histories older than 45 days at $1.99 per month. Free backups remain available, covering the past 45 days and up to 100MB of messages. The feature is currently in beta for Android, with plans to expand to iOS and desktop platforms soon.
