Snowflake, Salesforce & dbt Labs Launch Open Semantic Interchange

Snowflake, Salesforce, dbt Labs, BlackRock, RelationalAI, and other tech players have launched the Open Semantic Interchange (OSI) initiative—an open source, vendor-neutral framework to unify semantic metadata across platforms. The goal is to standardize how business logic, metrics, and metadata are defined and shared, reducing fragmentation in AI and BI tools. OSI aims to boost data interoperability, simplify operations, and accelerate the trustworthy adoption of AI in enterprises.
