UPI Sets New Record: 20.7 Billion Transactions in October

The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) achieved an all-time high in October, recording 20.7 billion transactions, according to data from the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). This surge, a 5.6% month-on-month increase, was driven largely by festive season spending. The total value of these transactions also peaked, rising 9.5% to a massive ₹27.28 lakh crore, underscoring UPI's dominance in India's digital economy.
