Vantage Data Centers Unveils $25B ‘Frontier’ AI Mega-Campus in Texas

Vantage Data Centers, backed by Silver Lake and DigitalBridge, is investing over $25 billion to build "Frontier"—a 1,200-acre, 1.4 GW hyperscale data center campus in Shackelford County, Texas. Designed specifically for AI, it will house 10 ultra-high-density facilities with liquid cooling and closed-loop chillers to save billions of gallons of water. The project is underway, with the first building expected by late 2026.
