Zomato and Jio Financial Join Nifty 50; Britannia and BPCL Exit

In a significant reshuffle, Zomato and Jio Financial Services have been added to the Nifty 50 index, replacing Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) and Britannia Industries. This change, effective from March 28, 2025, reflects the rising prominence of digital and financial sectors in India's economy. The inclusion is based on the companies' six-month average free-float market capitalization surpassing that of the outgoing firms.
