Beyond Models: Zoho Founder Urges India to Build Whole 'Tech Pyramid' Amid US AI Ban

Following the Trump administration's decision to restrict foreign access to Anthropic's advanced Mythos 5 and Fable 5 AI models, Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu urged India to shift its focus. Rather than just chasing sovereign AI, Vembu argued that India must build a complete "sovereign tech pyramid." He emphasized that AI is merely the tip of a massive global supply chain of critical, less expensive capabilities that India currently lacks.
