General Motors has cut more than 1,000 jobs at its flagship Factory Zero plant in Michigan, deploying 50 collaborative robots ("cobots") to assist on the production line. This automation push, aimed at cutting costs and boost efficiency amid slowing EV demand, follows major IT layoffs.
