Ransomware Gang Threatens To Release Stolen Medibank Data

<p>After the Australian private health insurance business Medibank promised it would not comply with the hackers' ransom demand, a ransomware organization said to have ties to the renowned Russian-speaking REvil gang threatened to leak the personal information of millions of Medibank clients. The largest health insurance company in Australia, Medibank, initially reported a "cyber incident" on October 13 and stated that it had discovered odd activity on its network.</p>
