Unsecured Cloud Leak Exposes 273,000 Indian Bank Transfer Records

A misconfigured Amazon cloud server exposed 273,000 PDF files containing sensitive Indian bank transfer records — including account numbers, transaction details, and personal contact information. Researchers from UpGuard uncovered the breach, which spanned 38 banks and financial institutions, including Aye Finance and SBI. After alerting CERT-IN and relevant parties, the data was secured.
