Apple Explores Third‑Party LLMs to Power Next‑Gen Siri
Apple is reportedly testing integration of third-party large language models like OpenAI’s ChatGPT and Anthropic’s Claude to enhance Siri, after delays in its own “LLM Siri” launch. Internal trials on Apple’s private cloud suggest Claude leads performance. With in-house models underwhelming, Apple is open to external collaboration but hasn’t made a final decision. A full Siri revamp may arrive in 2026.
