Apple Shifts Focus to Smart Glasses, Pauses Lighter Vision Pro Development

Apple is accelerating the development of smart glasses, including models with and without augmented reality (AR) capabilities, aiming to compete with offerings like Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses. According to Bloomberg, the company is designing a specialized chip, based on Apple Watch chips, optimized to support multiple cameras required by the smart glasses.
