Biwin Unveils Ultra-Compact ‘Mini-SSD’ That Plugs in Like a SIM Card
Chinese storage maker Biwin unveiled a ground-breaking "Mini SSD" (also called the "1517"), measuring just 15 mm × 17 mm × 1.4 mm—smaller than a U.S. penny—and offering blazing PCIe 4×2 speeds: up to 3,700 MB/s read and 3,400 MB/s write. Available in 512 GB, 1 TB, and 2 TB versions, it uses a SIM-card-style tray and boasts IP68 dust/water protection plus 3-meter drop resistance. It's already featured in new handheld gaming PCs like GPD Win 5 and OneXPlayer Super X.
