Scientists Achieve Certified Quantum Randomness Using Single Qubit

Researchers at India’s Raman Research Institute (RRI), in collaboration with IISc and the University of Calgary, have demonstrated that certified quantum randomness can be generated from a single qubit using temporal tests, instead of complex multi-particle setups. This breakthrough simplifies the generation of truly unpredictable numbers, advancing cryptographic security and enabling practical use of quantum randomness via cloud-based quantum computers.
