European Passport: Geely Snags Historic EU Nod for Smart Driving Tech

In a major geopolitical milestone, Geely has become the first Chinese automaker to have its advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) certified for use in the European Union.Meeting the strict UN R171 safety and cybersecurity standards, Geely’s "G-ASD" system can now legally operate across all EU member states. The tech will make its European debut this month on Lotus vehicles, followed by Zeekr, Lynk & Co, and Geely models.
