Five individuals have pleaded guilty to orchestrating a scheme that placed North Korean remote IT workers, many tied to the DPRK government, inside over 300 US companies. The conspirators created fake US identities and used sophisticated methods to evade security checks, funneling millions of dollars earned by the North Koreans back to the regime.
