Google has escalated its legal battle with Epic Games to the U.S. Supreme Court, seeking to overturn a Ninth Circuit ruling that mandates significant changes to its Android app ecosystem. The ruling requires Google to allow app developers to bypass its billing system, link to alternative payment methods, and distribute apps outside the Play Store. Google argues that the decision oversteps legal boundaries and could disrupt the Android ecosystem.
