Google Challenges Nvidia: TPUs Offered for On-Premise AI

Google is intensifying its challenge to Nvidia's AI chip dominance by offering its custom Tensor Processing Units (TPUs) for installation directly in customer data centers. This move targets organizations with strict data requirements. Significantly, Meta Platforms is reportedly in talks to spend billions deploying Google's TPUs in its facilities starting in 2027.
