Google is enhancing digital security in India by rolling out new AI-powered anti-scam measures, including on-device detection for Pixel phones and real-time screen-sharing alerts in Google Pay. These efforts, which include blocking millions of suspicious app installations, are designed to protect vulnerable users from increasingly sophisticated AI-driven fraud, like digital arrest and voice cloning scams. However, gaps remain as scammers rapidly adapt new techniques.
