Google Inks Classified AI Deal With Pentagon for Military Operations

Alphabet’s Google has reportedly signed a classified agreement with the U.S. Department of Defense, allowing the Pentagon to utilize its AI models for "any lawful government purpose." This partnership, joining similar deals with OpenAI and xAI, covers sensitive tasks like mission planning and targeting. Despite significant employee pushback, Google maintains that its models will not be used for autonomous weaponry.
