The creative industry is opposing the Indian government's proposed rule to mandate a 10% screen or duration label for all AI-generated content. Industry leaders argue the blanket requirement is an overreach that would stifle legitimate use of AI in film, VFX, and animation. They are pushing for a risk-based framework, urging exemptions and alternative metadata disclosures for non-deceptive creative applications.
