India’s New AI Governance Guidelines Prioritize Safety and Innovation
The Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY) has released the India AI Governance Guidelines under the IndiaAI Mission. The framework, guided by the principle of "Do No Harm," aims to ensure safe, inclusive, and responsible AI adoption. It is structured around seven guiding principles (Sutras), balancing innovation over restraint with accountability and risk mitigation.
