Indonesia has summoned representatives from TikTok, Meta (Instagram), and other social platforms, urging proactive content moderation to curb disinformation, pornography, and online gambling. Deputy Communications Minister Angga Raka Prabowo highlighted how viral deepfake videos (e.g., involving Finance Minister Sri Mulyani) and misrepresented riot footage have fueled public unrest and influenced youth protests.
