Recoolit, founded in 2021, tackles potent HFC refrigerant emissions in Indonesia by capturing leakage from AC systems—technicians earn ~$3 per kg collected. The recovered gases, thousands of times stronger than CO₂, are destroyed in cement kilns or incinerators.
