Mastodon to Launch “Packs” Feature Inspired by Bluesky for New User Onboarding

Mastodon is developing a “Packs” feature—curated sets of suggested accounts to follow—to help new users overcome onboarding hurdles. Drawing inspiration from Bluesky’s Starter Packs, Mastodon plans features like opt-out control, notifications when included in a Pack, and easy removal options. The feature will be integrated into account discoverability settings and is expected to debut in the Mastodon 4.6 release.
