Microsoft Offers to Unbundle Teams from Office to Address EU Antitrust Concerns

Microsoft has proposed to further separate its Teams app from Office 365 and Microsoft 365 suites to address European Union antitrust concerns. The European Commission is reviewing commitments that include offering lower-priced Office packages without Teams, allowing customers to switch to these packages within existing contracts, and enhancing interoperability with rival applications. If accepted, these changes could prevent a fine, though penalties remain possible if Microsoft fails to comply.
