Microsoft Warns of Zero-Day Attacks on SharePoint Servers; Urges Immediate Patch
Microsoft has issued a critical alert about active zero-day cyberattacks exploiting a SharePoint server vulnerability, targeting on-premises instances used by governments and businesses for internal document sharing. Tens of thousands of servers are at risk though SharePoint Online on Microsoft 365 remains unaffected. Microsoft, alongside the FBI, CISA & other agencies, recommends applying the released security updates immediately or disconnecting vulnerable servers if patches can’t be deployed.
