India’s apex telecom industry body, COAI, has appointed Rahul Vatts (Bharti Airtel) as its new Chairperson and Dr. Ravi P. Gandhi (Reliance Jio) as Vice-Chairperson for 2026–27. The leadership shift, finalized during COAI’s annual meeting, comes as the association aims to build a future-ready digital economy centered on emerging technologies like 5G Advanced, AI, satellite communications, and upcoming 6G systems.
