New “hpingbot” Botnet Leverages Pastebin & Hping3 for Stealthy Cross‑Platform DDoS and Payload Delivery

A novel Go‑based botnet, dubbed “hpingbot,” employs Pastebin-hosted scripts for dynamic payload delivery and uses the legitimate hping3 tool to conduct over ten types of DDoS attacks across Windows, Linux, and IoT systems. Detected in June 2025, it supports amd64, ARM, MIPS, and more, with silent, strategic bursts and payload flexibility—suggesting potential future use for ransomware or APT deployments.
