TRAI’s AI Regulatory Blueprint Under Government Review as MeitY Advances Trustworthy AI Projects

The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has submitted a roadmap for exploring generative AI and Big Data in telecom, including a proposal to establish an independent “Artificial Intelligence and Data Authority of India (AIDAI).” This blueprint is now under government review, with the Ministry of Electronics and IT (MeitY) already partnering with academic and research institutions on trustworthy AI validation initiatives.
