Windows 11 24H2 Update Breaks Core UI Features
Microsoft confirmed that the Windows 11 24H2 cumulative update (KB5062553) causes core UI components like the Start Menu, Taskbar, and System Settings to fail. This disruption is most prominent in VDI and first-logon scenarios due to a timing conflict (race condition) with XAML dependency packages. Microsoft is developing a fix, but temporary manual registration commands are available to restore functionality for affected users.
