Pioneering derivatives exchange BitMEX will officially cease operations on September 23, 2026, following a strategic review by owner HDR Global Trading. Celebrated for introducing perpetual swaps, the 11-year-old platform assured users that customer assets remain entirely safe and uncompromised. BitMEX is advising all traders to close their open positions and withdraw funds prior to the final shutdown date.
